| RHM was founded by Pastor A.L. Underwood on November 4, 1985. The first service was held in the apartment of Pastor and his family. The apartment was located in the 3500 block of Clairmont Avenue in Birmingham, AL. With a membership of only five (Pastor, wife and three members). RHM begin with nothing, no money or materials. Pastor Underwood stated to the members, "We have nothing, the only way for us to go is up." In two weeks the five member congregation moved to an upholstery shop in Lipscomb, AL. |

| THE city of Lipscomb loaned Renewed Hope Ministries chairs to use in our service. The ministry began to grow at which time our first musician was James King who played both bass and lead guitar. Later our first drummer Minister Jeffery Dubose joined the ministry. Renewed Hope Ministries stayed in the upholstery shop for six weeks. |

| IN January 1986, Renewed Hope Ministries moved to a store front building located on 10th avenue and 19th street in Bessemer, AL. with eighteen members. It was during the next couple of years our faith was challenged thru many struggles. Some of the pioneers in the ministry left and pursued other ambitions, others left for reasons beyond their control. Meanwhile God's hand was still on our ministry - he was Jehovah Jireh; God back then as he is today. Upholding Renewed Hope Ministries, Supernaturally and by his power. |

| ON December 25, 1989 God blessed the Renewed Hope Ministries family to move in our present day facility located at 2700 11th avenue north in Bessemer, AL. We moved in with twenty-eight members and a $89,000.00 deficit. In five years (1994) with twenty-eight members, the deficit was paid in full and we were debt free, ALL PRAISE AND GLORY TO GOD OUR FATHER. Every since this ministry was birth we've faced many oppositions from our adversary. We've witness many to come and many to go. We've seen lives changed and transformed by the power of God. I believe one of the reason's the enemy has fought as hard to abort this ministry is because it was birth by God to Re-New Hope in the live's of all people. |

| TODAY after being in existence for approximately twenty years, we have a vibrant ministry that minister to all people of all ages, races, denominations. We have a dynamic ministry that ministers and serves the community, city and state. Our worship service is excellent as we render praise and worship with skill minstrels. The teaching of God's Word is explained in simple terms, making it easy for listeners of all ages to understand and apply in their daily lives. After years of struggling in growth; in latter 2004 we've began to witness growth on over into 2005 and still growing as we continue to praise God and teach his word. God is adding daily to the church such as should be saved. With this continued growth we will move into our new facility very soon. Praise be to God! |
